Stories and Platitudes... page 3

As promised, here are the "Khymera Keys"... pick'em up while they're hot.

 Salty soup

A woman once cooked a pot of bean soup. She kept salting it until she over salted it. Everybody at the table found it as such, but unfortunately she couldn’t take any of the salt back out. Solution? Sure! Eat it and forget it!

 Fact or fiction

Morale: sometimes what it seems to be, it really ain’t!

Fiction: a man was looking at a star that shined brighter than the rest of them up in the night’s sky. He fell in love with it, named it and called it his own.

Astronomical fact: the star he was looking at was 1500 light years away and in the very last stage of supernova.

Math fact: year-2000, last stage of a supernova lasts 200-300 years, the star was 1500 light years away meaning it took its light 1500 years to reach Earth.

Do the math!

Question: what was the guy looking at and what did he unknowingly fall in love with?
